Tesla’s latest all-electric SUV, Model Y, is now available for order in Malaysia. The estimated delivery date is early 2024.
Designed as Tesla’s first mass-market electric SUV, Model Y is the newest and most affordable of its kind. Its status as one of the safest SUVs in the world is verified by the 5-star ratings of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and European New Car Assessment Programme, so you can expect only the swiftest and smoothest of drives.
As the ultimate convergence of range, performance, safety and technology, Model Y offers something for every driver. Its 2.1 cu m of cargo space provides ample storage for all your baggage needs while seating up to five passengers, making it a great choice for family road trips. Those who can handle speed will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100kph in just 3.7 seconds, with a range of up to 533km (WLTP) per charge, thanks to its ultra-responsive motors.
Other notable details are the all-glass roof, autopilot, active safety features and state-of-the-art HEPA filtration system.
In conjunction with Malaysia’s efforts towards low-carbon mobility and expansion of the electric vehicle industry, customers of newly registered zero-emissions Tesla vehicles are entitled to full exemption from import and excise duties, as well as road tax. Furthermore, owners may claim up to RM2,500 worth of personal income tax relief for expenses related to the cost of installation, rental and purchase for the year of assessment 2023. This is inclusive of hire-purchase equipment or charging facility subscription fees.
