7th Malaysian Jazz Piano Festival
Make your way to the seventh Malaysian Jazz Piano Festival and be entertained with outstanding performances by the Wei Li Cheah Quartet, Julian Chan Big Band, Frankie Sixes, Grace Leong Semboyan, Fazz and many more. In line with klpac’s goals to impart professional knowledge to younger musicians, free workshops led by seasoned professionals will be held in the mornings with forums throughout the day before the night shows. There will also be a talent competition for those who want to show off their techniques.

The Music The World
The Music The World, a contemporary improvisational band from Beijing, was invited by the China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur to showcase the best of China. Produced by HANDS Percussion, the concert is a 90-minute programme comprising not only traditional Chinese music, but also Spanish, Greek, Japanese, Scottish and Indonesian tunes. A melodious fusion like no other, the band uses the main perspective of Chinese culture to explore and discover the beauty of world music and the energy of different cultures. Music director and composer An Ping has prepared a stunning repertoire that will be performed by Qiao He (pipa), Kang Zhengyi (guitar), Yao Zhu (flute), Sarit Das (table) and Liu Sen (keyboard).

Ardal O’Hanlon Live!
Multi-award-winning comedian, actor and writer Ardal O’Hanlon is coming to Kuala Lumpur for a one-night-only show as part of his The Showing Off Must Go On tour. Best known for his roles in Death in Paradise, Father Ted and My Hero, O’Hanlon’s prolific TV and stand-up career catapulted him to be one of the most well-known faces in the industry.
