BMW Malaysia just added four M models to its luxury vehicle portfolio at The Secret Garage @ M Town, an homage to the famed BMW M Secret Garage hidden within the BMW M facility in Munich, Germany.
The first two to be revealed were the BMW M8 Coupé and the BMW M8 Gran Coupé, which set a whole new level for luxury sports vehicles. The former brings the 8 Series model range to another level in terms of performance, with the most powerful engine ever developed by the BMW M performance division.
Similarly, the M8 Gran Coupé features the 4.4L V8 engine with BMW M TwinPower Technology and boasts the most spacious interior of all BMW M coupés, providing both comfort and performance.

Powered by the redesigned high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology (a 4.4-litre engine that delivers 441 kW/600 hp), the M8 Coupé and M8 Gran Coupé both have sublime engine sounds, which can be adjusted with the Sound Control button to suit your personal acoustic preferences. The M xDrive all-wheel drive system also gives these vehicles superior traction and directional stability for easy to control.
Blending power with luxury, these models sport bold, sculpted surfaces and include special M-specific features such as the new front apron as well as the BMW kidney grille with M-specific decorative mesh. Upholstered in Merino leather, the two-door M8 Coupé and four-door M8 Gran Coupé come in a wide range of colours, such as Marina Bay Blue, Motegi Red and Black Sapphire.
Managing director of BMW Group Malaysia Harald Hoelzl says, “The high-performance sporting segment of the world rests on the benchmark that has been set by BMW M automobiles, and with these two new additions, we witness that benchmark raised higher – as they carry the M legacy to greater heights.”

The other two models that were also unveiled at The Secret Garage were the BMW X3 M Competition and BMW X4 M Competition. These two new editions to the BMW X family emphasise speed and performance with the new BMW M TwinPower Turbo engine; it generates a top speed of 250km/h and can achieve the century sprint in 4.1 seconds. Categorised as Sports Activity Vehicles (SAV) and Sports Activity Coupés (SAC), these vehicles are equipped with Driving Assistant Plus for optimal support while driving.
Both cars have sporty silhouettes adorned with 21-inch bicolour M light alloy wheels fitted with Adaptive M suspension. While the X3 M Competition has a slim diffuser in high-gloss black and an M-specific roof spoiler, the X4 M Competition has a black aerodynamic spoiler at the rear.

Another standout feature of these M models is the assurance of comfort with the elegant M interior ambience, comfortable front seats with active ventilation and lumbar support, and special M-specific trims.
