Eager shoppers will have something to look forward to next year as The Starhill – a luxury stronghold in the Golden Triangle – will be up and running again in the first quarter of 2021.
Previously known as Starhill Gallery, the luxury shopping centre announced its remodelling plans last October and was closed for renovations ever since.
YTL Land and Development Berhad vice president Joseph Yeoh said the transformed boutique mall will present four floors of premium retail environment with refreshed concepts to offer loyal patrons a whole new experience. The rest of the seven-floor development will house over 1,100 JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur hotel rooms.
Highlights of the retail floors include luxury and contemporary fashion, jewellery and timepieces, design galleries and a library lifestyle concept complemented by cafes, lounges and restaurants, including greenhouse-inspired culinary concepts in conservatories.
Luxury fashion houses Balmain, Philipp Plein and Tom Ford as well as Swiss manufacture Patek Philippe will debut their exclusive flagship stores on the ground floor.
Italian luxury menswear brands Paul & Shark and Stefano Ricci will be among other newcomers on the upper ground floor, where Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet’s expanded flagship store is located, alongside Bedat & Co, Cecil Purnell, Cortina Watch, HYT and Rolex.
Moreover, existing tenants Davidoff Cigars, Louis Vuitton, Off-White, Roberto Coin and Shiatzy Chen will be boasting fresh new looks.
Food lovers will be glad to know that The Starhill’s collection of restaurants Shook!, Luk Yu Tea House, Jogoya and Tarbush Lounge have been stylishly reinvented. Caviar seafood bar and fashion lounge Mari*Star — a brand new concept by The Marini’s Group — will also be fronting the street to welcome guests who are looking for a unique dining and retail experience.
Repositioned as the Home of the Tastemakers, Yeoh said The Starhill seeks to offer every visitor more meaning, authenticity and connection by infusing hospitality into the retail experience.
“This new incarnation of The Starhill is a crucial undertaking that strengthens our position at the forefront of the fast-changing and fluid retail landscape,” he added.
The Starhill will also be connected to The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur.
Stay tuned for more updates.
