Ninety years after its inception, the Reverso remains one of the most recognisable watches in the world with its distinctive Art Deco lines and swivelling case. It continues the eternal pursuit of aesthetic purity and technical virtuosity that has guided Jaeger-LeCoultre for over a century.
New to the Reverso stable is the limited-edition Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater. For the first time, both faces are fashioned into time-telling dials instead of displaying different functions. Although both dials are skeletonised, the front dial is more open-worked to fully showcase the complexity of the manually wound Calibre 944. Liberal gold accents and an orchestra of moving components, including the minute repeater’s patented trebuchet hammers, silent regulator and a new generation of gongs, conspire to create an exuberant character.

The reverse face tells a more sedate story through the vertical Côtes de Genève stripes that decorate the entirety of the main plate, which also acts as the dial. The cool silver tone of the metal and its rectilinear geometry coalesce in a harmonious visual display of restraint and elegance. Both faces assimilate beautifully into the rose-gold embrace of the 31mm case.
Only 10 pieces of the Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater have been produced, which makes the acquisition so very challenging and all the more precious. For the lucky few who are able to fasten its brown leather straps around their wrists, this timepiece is a sure-fire conversation piece and a stellar addition to any collection.
