Cartier expands its olfactory variations with the new La Panthère Elixir

The refillable bottle softens the dynamic of the lines, forging a stronger link with the maison's jewellery emblem.

Much like the clothes we wear, the fragrance we spritz on each morning before heading out the door should be carefully selected to boost our confidence and enhance our daily experiences. For many, scent serves as an amplifier of the persona they wish to embody. For this, there is none better than the legendary house of Cartier to get the job done.

In 2014, the maison launched the La Panthère Eau de Parfum, which reimagined the chypre scent family (a category characterised by fresh openings and sensual and sometimes animalic base notes). The perfume, crafted by French nose Mathilde Laurent, evokes the mystery and confidence of Cartier’s fierce feline mascot with its powdery florals and earthy oakmoss undertones.

Some mark the original scent as the beginning of a synergy between the jewellery house and the panther’s motif and personality. Now, this continues in Laurent’s latest introduction to the line — the
La Panthère Elixir.

It comes in a sleek, refillable bottle with Art Deco gold accents. Epitomising the label’s commitment to craftsmanship and fine detail, the glass front has been shaped to take on the curves and contours of the panther’s striking visage, making for an elegant addition to one’s vanity. The contents play on the EDP’s DNA, boasting the warmth of wild musk and a head-turning jasmine inspired by the plushness of the big cat’s fur and its eternal sophistication.
