Malaysia’s Queen of Comedy is taking her one-woman comedy show featuring brand-new material nationwide. Mixing comedy with storytelling, Kam promises to take her audience on a 90-minute emotional rollercoaster ride.
Kam’s struggles, accomplishments and achievements make up her 26 years in the comedy industry. She started off sharing her acid-tongued humour at Kuala Lumpur’s fist cabaret club, the Boom Boom Room, and soon after, she earned a reputation as one of the funniest women on the Malaysian stage. The comedienne has also starred in a multitude of local sitcoms, such as Kopitiam and Spanar Jaya.
Her tight-fitting sequinned gowns and outfits have made her an aspirational icon among women. The confidence that Joanne exudes inspires women of all shapes and sizes to be just as carefree and daring when it comes to fashion.
Kam is the longest-performing stand-up comedian in Malaysia and it stands to reason that her talents and contributions are recognised and appreciated by her audience. A single mother, Kam is no ordinary woman and her show is a definite must-see.
