The Deaf Man’s House
Denmark-based, avant-garde theatre group Odin Teatret makes its Malaysian debut with The Deaf Man’s House, a story of Spanish artist Francisco Goya and his rise and escape from the Spanish Inquisition, as told through the eyes of his companion, Leocadia. Directed by the world-famous Italian author and theatre director Eugenio Barba, the one-hour performance features veteran actors Frans Winther, Else Marie Laukvik and Rina Skeel. The performance is preceded by a three-course Spanish-themed dinner (7pm), which guests can choose to partake of at an additional RM100.

Frankenstein 2039
Liver&Lung’s musical stage adaptation of Mary Shelley’s famous gothic horror novel Frankenstein is a terrifying exploration of the limitations of scientific technology, the essence of the human condition and the pursuit of good and evil. Set in a futuristic world, Frankenstein 2039 is a digital experience where the audience gets to interact with the play via a web application. Comments will be broadcast live and the votes will influence the narrative’s course of action. The audience is also invited to dress in futuristic fashion.

The Soul II by Amy Hashim
In this solo exhibition, Malaysian artist Amy Hashim showcases 48 semi-abstract oil paintings inspired by nature. Her works — brought to life with palette knives and her own fingerwork — feature bold colour combinations that reflect her perception of scenic landscapes in Malaysia. A selection of her paintings have also been modified into a printable format and reproduced on silk fabric, which are available for purchase at the museum.
