European Union Film Festival 2019

Experience riveting dramas, suspenseful thrillers, heart-warming comedies and more at this year’s European Union Film Festival. The highly anticipated annual event celebrates the region’s cultural diversity with 19 award-winning contemporary films from 15 European countries. The festival’s line-up also features films from non-European Union countries such as Switzerland and Norway.

Fixing Memories by Victor Chin

Painter, documentary film-maker and activist Victor Chin presents 16 watercolour paintings that pay homage to the vernacular shophouse façades of the Straits Settlements in Malaysia. His artwork is also a visual critique of some of the country’s architectural conservation practices.

Pastel Lite: Pop Bilik Tidur Album Launch

Synth-pop duo Eff Hakim and Faliz Mohd — the artistes behind Pastel Lite — will be launching their highly anticipated album Pop Bilik Tidur at The Bee. The event will be a celebration of home-grown Malaysian music as it will also host guest performers The Impatient Sisters, Francissca Peter and Yuna. Pop Bilik Tidur is the indie band’s second album following the nostalgic and dreamy Balada in 2017.
