Atlas Bar
Champagnes that reflect the craftsmanship of winemakers, single-village grand crus, grand marques with a long history and collections that showcase a full range by a producer — these are what connoisseurs will find in the Atlas Champagne Collection. The collection by Atlas, the grand lobby and bar at Parkview Square, Singapore, presents treasured champagnes from around the world as well as labels sourced from the Parkview Family Cellar.
It was curated and assembled over two years by the Hwang family’s sommelier, Jack Cheung, and Atlas’ sommelier Mason Ng, and houses more than 250 labels. One of the largest in Asia, the collection has a key focus on grower Champagnes and is arranged into four categories: La Sélection, Le Terroir, La Prestige and Les Collections.
La Sélection has labels from both vintage and non-vintage champagnes. Highlights include Drappier Quattuor Blanc de Blancs NV, which features a few of the forgotten white grapes of Champagne, and Tarlant La Vigne d’Or Blanc de Noirs 2003, composed of 100% Pinot Meunier.
Le Terroir has bottles from all the 17 Grand Cru villages that make up just 9% of the villages in the Champagne region, such as Lamiable Cuvee Pheerie Blanc de Blancs 2008 from Tours-sur-Marne, Paul Sadi Clos Virgile 2012 from Beaumont-sur-Vesle and Jean Milan Terres de Noel Blanc de Blancs 2009 from Oger.
La Prestige features a wide variety of big brands and prestigious houses with a long history, such as Dom Pérignon, Cristal, Krug and Bollinger, while Les Collections is a selection of champagne “collections” designed to be enjoyed as a complete set, such as Ulysse Collin’s Quintet Collection and Taittinger’s Art Collection series.
The Atlas Champagne Collection celebrates the finer things in life and has some genuine treasures, of which only one or two bottles are available.
