Indulge in Concorde Hotel’s delectable Prosperity Poon Choy. The Majestic Hotel’s Colonial Sampler is sure to provide a memorable reunion meal for you and your family. Once again, Lai Po Heen is here to gratify our Chinese New Year cravings. Priced at RM888 per person, its set menu begins with a butterfish, followed by salmon, tuna and chuka hotate — also known as seasoned scallop wings — on a platter. There is also yee sang and an array of enticing dishes such as the signature double-boiled tonic soup and braised five-head South African abalone, as well as an oven-baked Australian baby lobster served with butter and parmesan cheese crust followed by double-boiled bird’s nest for a luxuriously sweet finish.

The Fat Fish
Specialising in fresh seafood, The Fat Fish is definitely a restaurant you can count on to provide you and your loved ones with a superior quality yee sang. The dish’s fresh salmon is displayed as a pink rose in the centre of an assortment of crisp and vibrantly coloured vegetables, and is served on a round platter to represent unity. Servings come in two sizes — the small one at RM98 is good for four to five pax, and the large one at RM148 is suitable for six to 10 pax. Customers also have the option to add snow pear at RM10 each or mini Chilean abalones at RM8 per piece to enhance the experience.

Feast on the Rich Fortune 8-Course Set Menu for this year’s family reunion dinner at Shangri-La Hotel’s Shang Palace. Priced at RM298 nett per person with a minimum of four people, the set starts off with a smoked salmon yee sang, followed by a scrumptious line-up of festive dishes including double-boiled mini abalone and chicken soup, stewed “Long Fu Pan” fillet and braised sun-dried oysters.
