L’Oréal Paris USA is calling on people in the country to nominate a fearless female non-profit leader for a chance to be one of 10 honourees inducted into this year’s Women of Worth programme. Each of them will receive funding and a national platform to share and grow their grassroots organisations.

Past nominees have included Rina Madhani, who narrows the literacy gap in the US by building inclusive experiences for children and their families; Shannon McPeek, founder of Operation Happy Nurse that provides a free and safe space for nursing professionals to cope with anxiety and depression; and Jennie Lobato, who empowers children from lower socioeconomic circumstances through art therapy-based activities.

Having supported 170 women and their philanthropic efforts since 2005, L’Oréal Paris’ Women of Worth has impacted legislation and transformed lives, from addressing mass incarceration and alleviating a growing mental health crisis to closing the gap on socioeconomic inequalities.

Past change-makers have also led meaningful changes throughout the US, be it serving their nation’s youth or drafting policies that benefit the planet.

Each honouree will receive US$25,000 and an opportunity to build a wide-ranging network that amplifies their charitable and humanitarian pursuits. Furthermore, this L’Oréal signature philanthropic programme will offer a robust integrated marketing campaign, digital-first storytelling and private mentorship to the non-profit organisation (NGO) founders to spread their cause.
