Ever since The Exchange TRX opened last year, the mall’s luxury department store Seibu has become synonymous with high-end living. From fashion and books to food and home appliances, the four storeys of stalls and mini-shops have become an attraction in their own right as a place to not only shop but also linger, a statement that could not be more true as Christofle Paris’ latest outlet is welcomed into the fold.
Producing luxury silverware since the mid-19th century, Christofle is labelled as a pioneer of cutlery styles and a leader in the silver goods industry. Having worked with creatives such as Jean Cocteau, Gio Ponti, Andre Putman and Man Ray, the brand is most well known for its state-of-the-art cutlery and tableware, though baby gifts, decorative ornaments and even jewellery have also been produced.
The label’s new store in Seibu offers shoppers an exclusive selection of its crème de la crème items. Perched on vintage wooden shelves with acidic green back splashes, the shiny metallic trinkets garner attention as they sparkle under the light, beckoning you to take a closer look.
From trays to serving plates, the high-polish items are the perfect finishing touch to any table setting. The brand’s famous Mood set, a 24-piece silver-plated flatware collection stored in a large egg-shaped case with a sleek walnut wood interior, can be viewed and purchased here. Vases, photo frames and statuettes are also available.
