Montblanc recently opened a new set of doors at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, where the maison now purveys a wonderland of luxury accessories for the discerning customer. The renewed flagship boutique comprises 120 sq m of contemporary elegance with the timeless juxtaposition of black, white and wood of all textures.
The multi-sensory experience, the vision of French interior designer Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, embodies three core design themes indelibly linked to the roots of Montblanc: cursive writing that evokes the iconic Montblanc fountain pen and stands for precise calligraphy and the culture of writing; the snowcap emblem, paired with black lacquered walls, that symbolises the peak of perfection; and the passion for craftsmanship, narrated through the structured architecture and dark wood composition.
Adding to the immersion into the world of Montblanc are features such as a new ink bar where customers can experiment with eight instrument nib sizes and 13 colours, the Montblanc Minerva Watchmaking Timeline displayed along a selection of timepieces, a New Technology Corner for digital enthusiasts to virtually experience watchmaking, the Leather Atelier with a personalisation embossing service and the Collectors Lounge for intimate viewing of Montblanc’s marvels. The new boutique is certainly worth a visit, if only to better understand the 113-year-old brand.
