You remember the Legacy Machine No 2 that was presented in 2013 — the audacious and most forward-looking expression of traditional mechanical watchmaking in the market?
Now imagine this beacon of innovative horology in a new palladium case, showcasing an aquamarine sunray dial that displays subtle pale green, grey and blue tones when it catches the light at certain angles. A quick history lesson: MB&F’s Legacy Machines are Max Büsser’s personal ode to some of the greatest master watchmakers of the 18th and 19th centuries.
Following the debut of the first Legacy Machine in 2011, the company unveiled the Legacy Machine 2, better known as LM2, two years later as a tribute to the historic double regulator and the brains behind one of the rarest mechanisms in watchmaking history, namely Abraham-Louis Breguet, Ferdinand Berthoud and Antide Janvier.

In this new iteration of the historical timepiece, you will find the same breathtaking view of its hypnotic engine in a 44mm case that is discreet yet precious.
The movement is developed by award-winning watchmaker Jean-François Mojon. And as with all iterations of the Legacy Machine 2, acclaimed independent watchmaker Kari Voutilainen is responsible for the fidelity of the finishings such as the Geneva waves, mirror-polished bevels, gold chatons with polished countersinks and bridges with internal bevelled angles. To mark their contributions, the names of the two men are hand-engraved on the back.
