Thirty years and still ticking strong. That’s the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore, which celebrates its milestone anniversary with various new references featuring ceramic.
One novelty is a black ceramic chronograph inspired by the Limited Edition “End of Days” released in 1999 in collaboration with Arnold Schwarzenegger. It marked the start of the brand’s limited timepieces specially created with celebrities from all walks of life.
The Royal Oak Offshore — aka “The Beast” for its oversized proportions, large rubber gasket and virile aesthetic — is bold and sporty, like the ultra-powerful yacht races that inspired its name. It was eagerly picked up by a young, adventurous generation when launched in 1993. Many more will want to have it on their wrists today.
