The history of the Olympics and Montblanc Meisterstück are intertwined, sharing significant milestones in 1924. That year, the 8th Olympic Games were held in Paris while the first Olympic Winter Games took place in Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc. Also in the same year, Montblanc introduced the Meisterstück, a symbol of writing craftsmanship the brand has become very well known for over the years.
To commemorate these centenaries, Montblanc has launched the Meisterstück x Olympic Heritage Collection as a tribute to both icons and to celebrate the rich heritage and pursuit of excellence each stands for. The special release is the result of extensive research and collaboration with the Olympic Museum and the International Olympic Committee. It features editions that highlight the art and design of past Games.
The Meisterstück x Olympic Heritage Paris 1924 Resin LeGrand is crafted in a warm shade of red, the official colour of the 1924 Paris Olympics. Its handcrafted solid Au 585 gold nib is adorned with a javelin thrower, inspired by a vintage poster. Similarly, the Meisterstück x Olympic Heritage Chamonix 1924 Edition offers three versions: the Classique Edition, made from precious resin in the official blue-grey of the Winter Games; the Doué Edition, which combines a resin barrel with a platinum-coated cap engraved with the Chamonix mountain landscape; and the Solitaire Edition, featuring a platinum-coated cap and barrel with the same engraving.
These editions are available as fountain pens, ballpoint pens and rollerballs. Additionally, Montblanc introduces Meisterstück x Olympic Heritage Paris and Chamonix 1924 Inks in the brand’s red and blue shades, presented in square glass bottles. Special edition notebooks with original artwork and typography from that meet complete the collection.
