KLSP teamed up with Teochew opera puppeteer Ling Goh from Penang to work with 15in tall iron-rod puppets, as well as Simone Tani, a Trance Mask exponent from the UK, to create this unique telling of one of the Bard’s most beloved plays.

Aku Ini Binatang Jalang
Underscoring his belief that education is a vital component for change in Malaysia, Azizan Paiman’s latest solo exhibition of photographic works is taken from another project where he created an installation of 30 wooden desks and chairs collected from a school, in a reflection on how education and politics intersect. Curators of that project asked the mid-career artist to make changes to various remarks etched on the desks that they deemed sensitive. Azizan expands on that experience in this show, drawing parallels between self-censorship and criticism, and the impact of a flawed educational system.
