At its spring/summer 2018 show, Salvatore Ferragamo added extra splash to the high-profile event by launching its new fragrance for women. The world premiere of Amo Ferragamo — amo means “I love” in Italian and symbolises the declaration of a young woman ready to seize any opportunity that the world offers her — became the evening’s leitmotif.
The celebration was hosted in the historical Piazza Affari, where a whimsical Botticellian garden by German designer Ingo Maurer came alive through lighting effects and projections that played with bucolic and floral elements. The dramatic setting was buoyed by a digital vision of images and colours created by starchitect Patricia Urquiola to evoke the surreal and emotional feelings conveyed by the new fragrance. The fragrance was unveiled by Suki Waterhouse, face of Amo Ferragamo and international jet-setter.
