The greatest foundations for the future are most often found in the distinguished insights of the past, and this could not be more true of Tiffany & Co’s Blue Book 2024 collection. Dubbed Tiffany Céleste, these high jewellery pieces are inspired by late French designer Jean Schlumberger and his imaginative interpretations of the mystic universe, redefined by the brand’s current chief artistic officer Nathalie Verdeille. The most recently unveiled fall chapters of the collection, which has been released in several instalments over the course of the year, comprise four thematic capsules of brilliantly bedazzled creations.

The first, Owl on a Rock, is a nocturnal take on Schlumberger’s iconic Bird on a Rock, containing three brooches decked in the luminescent lunar compositions of striking blues, 18-carat yellow gold, black pearls and diamond plumage. Each creature perches on its own “moon rock” in the form of black opals, moonstones, tanzanites or star sapphires, exuding an enticing ethereality while preserving a distinct character.

Embodying a more solar energy, the Phoenix line — themed after symbols of rebirth — exhibits the legendary beast clutching a majestic 29-carat fire opal with the burning lustre of Umba sapphires and tsavorites adorning the spread wings. The line-up’s earrings and necklace showcase a wing-flame motif, with ravishing red rubellites at the fiery core of these vibrant pieces.

The Unicorn series captures the creature’s magical whimsy through the use of helix-like forms, based on its swirling horn, and purple and pink sapphires. The starring brooch is a symphony of dreamy, glittering hues: a bicolour, cushion-cut, 25-carat tourmaline sits under the chin of the sparkling mythical animal.

Finally, shimmering iridescence and radiant shapes define the transcendent Star Burst chapter, painting the late jeweller’s galactic visions in blue-and-green crystal opals and asymmetrical diamond-encrusted arrows that extend from the central stones of the ring, necklace and earrings.
