Remember the days when people dipped into their pockets to pull out chain watches only when they wanted to check the time? Van Cleef & Arpels welcomes the notion of an instrument that tells the passing hour only when desired and has crafted four secret pendant watches that serve this purpose, following its characteristic jewellery style.
The watches sit concealed within the heart of the Alhambra. This four-leafed clover-inspired motif, a brand icon, shapes the pendant, which can be worn with a long chain necklace.
Two of the watches are adorned with ornamental stones, complemented by delicately beaded yellow gold. A third combines rose gold with the warm tones of carnelian, and encloses a dial in white mother-of-pearl, embellished with diamonds. The fourth model, in turquoise, has diamonds set on the side of the case and around the dial for a burst of dazzle.
