The treasured partnership between retailer Cortina Watch and H Moser & Cie, whose watches have adorned the wrists of elites and nobility since 1828, was officially established in 2018. Both family-run companies had fostered a close-knit relationship across two generations before that, starting with MELB Holding chairman Georges-Henri Meylan and Cortina Watch founder Anthony Lim.

To celebrate this long-standing association, the Schaffhausen-based manufacture has unveiled the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Cortina Watch Limited Edition in Swiss Mad Red dial, adding a striking variant to its iconic collection that pays homage to the automotive and locomotive inventions of the 1920s. Characterised by the juxtaposition of fluid and refined lines, the watch’s design is guided by the dynamic shapes of the first speed trains of the early 20th century.

A distinctive element that makes this model unique is the introduction of a vibrant red second hand, which beautifully complements the deep shade of the dial. The transparent lacquer logo on it serves as a reminder of the brand’s minimalist philosophy.

This automatic chronograph is equipped with a powerful mechanism developed alongside Agenhor, which specialises in producing complex movements. Boasting a 72-hour power reserve, the Calibre HMC 907 can be admired from the case back and features contemporary configuration, with the traditional Moser stripes angled at 45° and anthracite grey rhodium-plating on the bridges and main plate. The oscillating weight is secured between the movement and dial, allowing full visibility of the operation of the chronograph and its column wheel.

Limited to just 20 pieces, this watch is a prized possession that symbolises the enduring connection between two prestigious names in haute horlogerie.
