You’ve heard of wanderlust, but what about hungerlust? The most stylish way to scratch both itches this month would undoubtedly be at the annual Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival, which takes place from Oct 23 to 27 at the Central Harbourfront. Over 300 booths offering food and wine will be yours to explore throughout the five-day wingding.

Those curious about Asian-inspired libations should make it a point to sample Guizhou Baijiu, highly rated by renowned wine critic James Suckling and a regular label at official Chinese state banquets, as well as Hong Kong gin from N.I.P. while the Tasting Theatre will be the venue for masterclasses and themed food and wine workshops led by renowned chefs and acclaimed sommeliers.

The tasting booths will offer extraordinary gourmet experiences from 35 countries

A key name to look out for? Nancy Silverton, lauded by the James Beard Foundation, and who is set to reveal secrets behind her world-famous Reimagined Caesar Salad. If you can only visit later in the month, don’t fret as that is when the island’s Taste Around Town culinary campaign kicks off. From Oct 28 to Nov 30, bars and restaurants all over Hong Kong will offer special menus while carnivores can expect a veritable carnival with a Beef Up November special.
