In 1988, Fendi Casa came out with its first collection of furniture and home décor accessories, which have since found their way into residences, yachts and private jets. These luxurious items were made following the tradition of Italian maison Fendi, famed for its fine leather goods, elegant furs and fur accessories.
Last month, Fendi Casa celebrated its 30th anniversary by reinterpreting three iconic products, each embodying one decade of its heritage, at the 57th edition of the Milan Furniture Fair.
The charming Cosima dormouse (1994), characterised by soft volumes and deep-buttoned leather upholstery, is reproduced with a seat upholstered in blue nubuck leather, combined with the Claudio armchair and Ripetta pouf. Released in 2004, the Eros sofa was known for its versatility and balanced design, neat metal base and crocodile-effect leather upholstery in a powdery shade. Its reincarnation has beige leather upholstery and contrasting blue details. The third re-edited piece is the One sofa, which brings together style, rigour and composure.
Fendi Casa also produced a new made-to-order capsule comprising the Constantin sofa and lamp, and Beaune table and console. The sleek Beaune table is a sculptural creation of contrasting materials. The Constantin sofa, with asymmetrical modules and lowered armrests, has overlapping elements that create an effect of volume. Cushions made specially for the occasion come in inlaid mink fur and sport the famed FF logo.
