LVMH has announced that Frédéric Arnault will take over as chief executive officer of Italian luxury house Loro Piana. The appointment, set to take effect on June 10, marks a significant leadership transition within the world’s largest luxury conglomerate. Arnault, the 29-year-old son of LVMH Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault, succeeds Damien Bertrand, who has been named deputy CEO of Louis Vuitton. He will join the Italian fashion house on March 26 for a transition period alongside Bertrand before officially assuming the role in June.

Arnault’s move to Loro Piana follows his tenure at the helm of LVMH’s watch division, where he oversaw brands such as Tag Heuer, Hublot and Zenith. During his leadership at Tag Heuer, he played a key role in securing a high-profile partnership with Formula One, elevating the brand’s global presence. His appointment suggests a strategic push to enhance Loro Piana’s positioning within the fast-growing “quiet luxury” segment while preserving its reputation for exquisite craftsmanship.

The reshuffle sees Bertrand transitioning to Louis Vuitton, where he will oversee product creation, brand image and industrial activities. Meanwhile, Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, previously managing director of the LVMH Fashion Group, has been named deputy CEO of Christian Dior Couture. The executive shake-up underscores LVMH’s long-term strategy of strengthening leadership within its portfolio of luxury maisons.

Loro Piana, acquired by LVMH in 2013, is renowned for its ultra-luxurious cashmere and wool products, appealing to an elite clientele that values understated sophistication. The brand has seen significant growth in recent years, particularly as demand for discreet, high-quality fashion continues to rise. Under Arnault’s leadership, Loro Piana is expected to refine its brand identity while expanding its global reach.

Commenting on the changes, Bernard Arnault reaffirmed LVMH’s commitment to developing leadership talent, stating that the appointments of Frédéric Arnault, Damien Bertrand and Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou reflect the group’s strategy of fostering visionary executives to drive innovation and long-term growth. As LVMH continues to evolve, these leadership transitions signal a new chapter for some of its most prestigious brands.
